Farias, Carolina

Born in Bahía Blanca, Argentina, Carolina began her career as a children’s book illustrator after working for several well-known animation studios. She currently lives in La Plata with her husband, Marcelo and their two beautiful children, Sara and Francisco. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in art, she began teaching at the university. She continues to teach with the same passion and dedication that is also evident in her illustrations. Over the years she has published books, sometimes as both the author and illustrator. Carolina likes to spend her free time drawing even while traveling with her family. She only needs a sharp pencil to keep her creativity flowing. Her artwork is created using a variety of mediums with a preference towards watercolors and acrylics. To date, Carolina is part of the White Ravens 2008 list for the Bologna Book Fair, where she has also been selected to represent Argentina.

Faust, Richard

Richard Faust is rarely without his sketchbook, which can be better described as a visual journal and confessional. Over the years, his bookshelf full of journals have become a source to be mined for interesting ideas and insights. He also draws inspiration from mid-century design, cubism, and folk art. He has been illustrating commercial products for over ten years. After completing his BFA at The Columbus College of Art & Design, he began his career illustrating for magazine and book publishers as well as for the greeting card market. His work was featured in the 2007 Society of Illustrators Annual. His paintings have been exhibited throughout the Cleveland area, including two sold-out solo shows.

Fisher, Jeffrey

Jeffrey Fisher works in the editorial, advertising and publishing fields. Selected clients include New York Times, Smithsonian, LA Times, Random House, Bloomsbury Chronicle,Barnes & Noble and United.

Francis, Peter

Based in Brighton, UK, Peter has created fresh, bright artwork for over 15 years. Being heavily influenced by a love of animation he spent a number of years working as an illustrator in children's television. His clients included 'Aardman Animations', BBC Worldwide and 'A' for Animation. Here he was greatly influenced by the art of narrative, and combined his love of drawing with the power of storytelling. His artwork is playful with an eye for color and detail, whilst evoking a subtle theatricality. When not frantically sketching in his studio he takes time for long coastal walks, exploring local history and archaeology, painting seascapes and growing vegetables.

Friel, Helen

Since graduating in 2009 from Central Saint Martins, with a first class degree in Graphic Design, Helen Friel has been working as a freelance Paper Engineer. Helen both hand cuts and uses technology to produce her pieces. Bridging the gap between two and three dimensions is central to her design practice as well as producing pieces that involve and evoke emotion in the audience. Many of her pieces are stage sets in miniature, creating worlds with layers of card and paper. They are often influenced by an off-beat sense of humour that captions the delicate cut-outs. Her work has been featured in books Papercraft and Papercraft 2. Working from her studio in South London, Helen has produced work for clients including: Vogue UK, Vanity Fair UK, Time, Tatler UK, Tatler Asia, Harrods Magazine, MOO and Men’s Health.

Funderburgh, Dan

Dan Funderburgh is a Brooklyn-based illustrator, artist, and wallpaper designer whose creations are rooted in the world of decorative arts. Dan was born in Seattle and reared in the Midwest, receiving a BFA from the University of Kansas with a focus in illustration. After moving to New York in 2001, Dan established a partnership with the now Brooklyn-based wallpaper studio Flavorpaper, where his designs are hand-screen printed. The wallpapers have been featured at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair and at Pulse Miami, and are a part of the Cooper-Hewitt's permanent collection. Occasional collaborations with companies like Brooks, Furni, and Gravis have allowed the work to live on bicycle seats, furniture, and luggage. Dan's personal and gallery work includes letterpress and screen prints, sculptures and installations that play off of historical ornamentation. Revealing an acute appreciation for both the baroque and utilitarian, Dan's work often combines the language of ornament with objects that surround us. Clients include: Soho House, Brooks England, Gravis, Nixon, Target, Chivas Regal, The New York Times, The Paris Review, Condé Nast, Scion, Nike, Microsoft, HP, Burton, Penguin Group, Hodder, Grey, Ogilvy, Dwell, Surface, JDK, Hachette Book Group, TED Talks

Fasolino Peter

Peter Fasolino's illustrations cover the spectrum of Children's Books, Editorial and Advertising art as well as Caricature. Peter lives and works in New York City and, when not illustrating, spends his time pondering what part of the brain is responsible for compelling one to be an illustrator.  The same part, perhaps, that persuades one to believe in the possibility of lasting peace in the Middle East, a Beatles reunion (All four), O.J. Simpson's innocence, tolerable Adam Sandler movies, keeping the porchlight on for Jimmy Hoffa's return, health insurance for every American and a high six figure yearly salary due to buyers of Illustration who know good art when they see it. "Down these mean streets a man must go who is not himself mean, who is neither tarnished nor afraid, The ILLUSTRATOR.... must be a complete man and a common man and yet an unusual man. He must be, to use a rather weathered phrase, a man of honor... He talks as the man of his age talks, that is, with rude wit, a lively sense of the grotesque, a disgust for sham, and a contempt for pettiness. He is cynical yet idealistic, romantic yet full of despair, an essentially gentle man moving across the landscape of beauty, decadence and violence." (apologies to Raymond Chandler)

Fast, Ingo

For over fifteen years, Ingo Fast has created conceptual and narrative, often landscape or cityscape-like illustrations for numerous magazines, newspapers, books, and brochures, for editorial, institutional, educational, corporate and advertising clients in the US as well as many other countries. He has illustrated greeting and holiday cards, posters, annual reports, children's textbooks, travel guides, T-Shirts, websites, maps & charts, bird's eye view diagrams, logos, and murals, in the context of a multitude of subject matters like children, people, family, lifestyle, and retirement; political and society-oriented themes; business, money, financial & investing-related topics; medical, health, and pharmaceutical subjects; technology, communication, media, and the internet; cars & automotive, travel, transportation, and insurance; and food, packaging, and products. His concepts are solution-oriented, and most often satirical, whimsical, and sometimes cartoon-like. His scenes are imaginative, humorous, and clever, and he uses pen & ink / line art combined with watercolor or gouache, or digital color, but also works with black & white line art. He has won recognition from American Illustration, the Societies of Illustrators in New York and in Los Angeles, the Society of Publication Designers, the Society of News Designers, and Graphis, and has exhibited his work in numerous group shows across the country.
