Nabo

Howdy! Conceptual illustration is my specialty, with a background in original concepts for the motion graphics and animation industries. Branding, illustrative storytelling, illustrative 3d element integration, caricatures, original typography integration, and envisioning practical live action set elements are also areas in which I have experience. I also have extensive experience in branding and supplying campaignable elements for cross platform purposes including illustrative logo design and conceptual character and story development. Although the vast majority of my illustrations are done digitally, I integrate real found textures into the environments and final layers, bringing a very human quality, along with a fun tangibility to my final product. I have a strong understanding of project creative direction, working under tight deadlines, and hitting the project target. Please contact me with any questions regarding my rate or availability through my personal portfolio website at www.mattnabo.com

In my illustration and design I use collage, mixed media and computer manipulation to create engaging and evocative images in a range of styles. A strong visual concept and a ‘Dutch’ design base are core to the work, which is often used visualise scientific, financial and business ideas; health, esoteric and lifestyle issues as well as literature and music covers. Over the years I have worked for a wide range of projects for clients worldwide. From single editorial images for magazines and newspapers, web design through to large communication design projects.

Napier, Martha

When Martha Napier took the leap and became a full-time freelance illustrator in 2013, the world of fashion design lost a wonderful creator, but the world of illustration gained an excellent artist. Martha’s vivid watercolours and loose, almost naďve style, have given a lighthearted lift to all kinds of interesting projects in fashion, advertising, editorial and more. She also does live painting for clients, and was named a top illustrator to watch on Instragram by InStyle magazine.

Martha was born in the Midwest, grew up in Germany, and today splits her time between Chicago and New York. She loves fashion – that much is clear – and her most admired designers include Miuccia Prada, Marni, and Phoebe Philo. Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Henri Matisse and Cy Twombly are three artists that inspire her.

Beyond art and fashion, she’s had a fascinating life. She’s travelled to the North Pole, and to the Galapagos Islands. “The only place I’ve seen a cactus, a flamingo and a penguin in the same location,” she says.

Martha has a BA in Studio Art from Wake Forest University, and was a Presidential Scholar at the same college in Fine Art. She discovered her love of fashion illustration at the Parsons School of Design, where she studied for a post grad degree in Fashion Design.

Watercolours are Martha’s main media, but she also uses markers, pencils and acrylics. She scans the work into Photoshop and uses the application to clean it up and colour correct it before delivering it to her clients.

Martha is very much a gestural painter, with a very fine skill in getting paints to flow from her brush and soak beautifully into the paper, and to mix with one another. Seen up close, it’s a gorgeous effect. Her work is vibrant and vivid as you can see, and full of joy and whimsy.

Nayberg, Yevgenia

Yevgenia Nayberg was born in Kiev, Ukraine. After graduating from The National School of Art in Kiev, she began working as a freelance illustrator and an assistant art director for, UkranimaFilm, an animation studio. Yevgenia moved to the United States in 1994, where she studied theatre design at Carnegie Mellon University. At the age of 23 she received her MFA degree in Theatre design from California State University, Long Beach. She has since enjoyed a successful career as a painter, scenic - costume designer, and illustrator. Yevgenia’s dedication to theatrical arts is clearly manifested in her illustrations which rely on color intensity, fantastic landscapes, and dramatic light and shadow to tell a story. When illustrating, she likes to look for a visual equivalent of a word, for metaphorical translation into the language of visual art.
