A graduate of the Art Center College of Design, John began his career as an illustrator in Hollywood, CA for clients in the music and entertainment industries. His original airbrush paintings have graced the covers of numerous albums for rock legends such as The Grateful Dead, Megadeath, Foreigner, and Steppenwolf. Other early works include posters for Star Wars, Mad Max, The Addams Family, Jurassic Park, and many other blockbuster films. John established JTD & Associates in 1985, just as computer technology was beginning to transform the industry. A pioneer of digital imaging techniques, John has been featured in numerous industry publications, and has been a featured contributor to several instructional books.
