• Joe Gast is a Seattle-based animator with an extensive background in design and illustration. A former art director and award-winning illustrator, he can manage your project from start to finish, or contribute according to your needs. "Concentrate on your phonics instead of your artwork," my first-grade teacher Miss Kunk wrote on one of my homework assignments. Seems I'd forgotten to write in the missing vowels in my haste to color all the pictures. Years later, I'm still coloring - and I still don't know phonics. Since graduating first-grade I've worked for many top-notch companies, including Forbes, Hasbro, Pentagram, Reader's Digest, U.S. News & World Report and The Wall Street Journal. I've also been recognized by the Society of Illustrators and the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies. (I guess I'm an okay illustrator despite Miss Kunk.)
