Steven's excellence in illustration has been recognized by PRINT magazine, Society of Illustrators, The Art Directors Club, and Communications Arts magazine. Since 2000 Steven has illustrated seventeen picture books for children. In 2009 Steven's 3rd author/illustrator picture book, HARRY HUNGRY! was released by Harcourt. In 2010 PANTALOON was released by Random House, the remake of the 1951 Golden Books classic with all new illustrations by Steven.
